The support is for one or more limbs of a patient secured to a seat or couch, and has a fixed support (1) by which a supporting bracket (3) for one of the limbs can be held at the desired angle to the surface (2) supporting the patient. A supporting member (4) for the lowermost part of the limb concerned is mounted on the bracket. The fixed support can be curved, one end (8) of the bracket sliding along and being lockable to it. The other end of the bracket rests on the surface supporting the patient, and it is adjustable for length.
