Panic lock device - has lever disengaged using electromagnet to temporarily eliminate panic function

The panic lock has a catch (31) and a bolt (29) locked by a linking mechanism. The mechanism comprises a collar (28), an arm (28') and a panic lever (26). The panic lever can slide and is acted on by the armature (25) of an electromagnet (20'). The armature is spring loaded (21') and moves the panic lever into and out of contact with the linking mechanism's arm. The armature acts as a coupling slide that keeps the panic lever engaged with the arm when the electromagnet is not excited. When the electromagnet is excited, the slide disengages the lever from the arm. The advantage lies in being able to temporarily put the lock's panic function out of operation in a simple manner.
