The equipment protects against excess operating pressure in an absorption heat-pump system for domestic heating, using a combination of materials such as ammonia and water. Any excess pressure in the gas chamber of the boiler (1) is delivered into that of the absorber (2), if safety and control devices all fail. After checking of these devices and the necessary repairs, the system can be set to work again without refilling, since no medium has been lost from the closed circuit.
