The heating system intended for closed rooms serves for the better heat distribution of the heat generated by conventional convection heating systems. To this end, the heating system has a number of thermoelectric heat radiators which work as a heat pump according to the Peltier effect and which are installed under the ceiling and if appropriate also on the walls of the heated room and if appropriate can be aligned in such a manner that they radiate heat extracted from the room air flowing through selectively into given regions of the heated room. Thus, the average room temperature necessary for adequate heating can be lowered which leads to heating cost savings.
