摘要 The invention relates to a triangular pass for two-high and three-high rolls in roll trains, in particular billet-, bar- and wire-rolling trains, including those with rolling blocks or machines, and in tube reduction mills, in which one roll has a cylindrical pass boundary surface and the other roll has a groove formed by a triangular torus as the pass boundary surface. The aim of the invention is to reduce the number of roll stands, to increase the formation efficiency and hence to save energy. The object of the invention is to provide a triangular pass which increases the stretching rate per pass when rolling in two-high and three-high roll stands. The features of the invention consist in that the cylindrical pass boundary surface of one roll projects into the tapered pass boundary surface of the other roll as far as the end of the pass, the greatest width of the rolling stock entering being greater than the greatest width of the pass and the maximum spacing of the flanks extended beyond the end of the pass being greater than the greatest width of the entering rolling bar. The application of the invention is in billet-, bar- and wire-rolling trains and in tube reduction mills.
