<p>A fluid pressure proportioning valve of the kind wherein a differential-area piston (50) divides a bore into two chambers (72, 68) communicated with an inlet and an outlet, respectively, and moves in response to the pressure level in said chambers to close a passage (88) interconnecting them via a spring-loaded valve member (116).</p><p>According to this invention, the bore is closed by a plug (28) which itself defines a portion (38) of said bore and receives a portion (52) of the piston (50), said plug forming an abutment surface (42) for defining the rest position of the piston, and the valve member (116) is received in a bore (90) of the piston including a valve seat (94).</p><p>For use principally in hydraulic braking systems for automotive vehicles.</p> |
