<p>The installation comprises an oil lubricated rotary screw compressor (1) with an oil reservoir (2) and a refrigerant gas condenser (3). The lubricating oil with the entrained gas is returned to the oil reservoir through an open discharge pipe (16) over the separating compartment (8). The oil reservoir has a baffle (7) dividing the separating compartment from the main volume (9). The refrigerant liquid is discharged into the compartment through a set of spray nozzles (13) directly over the surface of the oil and cools the latter by mixing with the hot return (10). The cooled oil overflows in the main volume where the refrigerant is separated.</p> |
