The arrangement is intended for producing a reflector with curved contour, e.g. a spherical, or parabolic cylindrical contour, as may be used in a solar collector array. The reflector element (30) is pressed (P) on to a negative former (40) and then secured to a carrier mounting (31). A number of projections (32) are secured to the rear face of the element, after which the mounting is placed over the rear of the pressurised element without touching it such that the projections extend into bushes (33,34) etc. on the mounting. A setting compound (35) is cast into the bushes to fix the reflector in the shape determined by the former.
