The invention relates to an X-ray diagnostic device for tommograms, having a number of X-ray sources (1) which can be switched in individually one after another by means of a control generator (15), having a patients bed (2), having an X-ray image intensifier (3) which is surrounded by deflecting coils (13) which are connected to a deflecting device (14), connected to the control generator (15), for synchronous movement of the electron image in the X-ray image intensifier (3), having an image memory (6), having a downstream subtraction device (7) which is fed the stored and the actual video signals, and having a monitor (12) in the case of which an evaluation circuit (8, 9, 19, 20) is connected to the subtraction device (7), which generates from the video difference signal an area-proportional output signal for an image part. Connected to the control generator (15) and the evaluation circuit (8, 9, 19, 20) is a body-section level computer (21) which calculates from the geometrical data for the tommogram and for the area-proportional output signal the corresponding area in the object under examination. Provision is made of a mixing stage (10) in which the video difference signal and the variables calculated by the body-section level computer (21) are superimposed. <IMAGE>
