An electrical component is described which consists of a plastic cup and a structural element which is fixed therein by means of potting compound, the connections of the structural element having in the cup region a bulge, which bulges engage in guides in order to fix the position of the structural element in the plastic cup before potting, said guides being constructed on the inner walls of the cup.
