An insulation stripping tool for electrical cables, having a handle and having a blade which penetrates into the cable sheathing is intended to be able to strip the insulation off cables of commercially available diameters in all positions and in a very confined space and additionally to expose the conductors of the individual cable cores and is at the same time intended to be cost-effective in production and handling. This is achieved in this case by means of a perforation which passes through the handle along its length, accommodates the respective cable end and in which a blade is arranged such that it projects transversely with respect to the cable axis.
