The relief openings (7) arranged in the inner walls of a reactor building are provided with sealing elements which upon the occurrence of an impermissible pressure in the spaces (1, 6) adjoining the inner walls release the relief openings. In this arrangement, it is to be ensured that the opening cross-section is completely released in the event of a pressure build-up and remains open after pressure equalization has taken place. It is provided for this purpose that the metal foil (9) covering the opening cross-section is clamped in the edge region (10) of the relief opening (7) only with a moderate retaining force. In the event of an impermissible pressure build up, the foil is not destroyed. It merely slips out of the clamp and is carried away as a single piece of foil by the air current of the pressure wave. <IMAGE>
