The invention relates to a device for low-dust separation of asbestos cement sheets or similar materials. The aim of the invention is to provide a device which, by slow running, suitable arrangement and constructional design of the rotating cutting tool and great advance, extensively prevents secondary fine dust formation during the separating process, allows universal cuts on plane and corrugated asbestos cement sheets or similar materials and allows connection to slow-running drives. According to the invention, the aim is achieved in that a cutting disc is connected to two abutments which lie opposite one another with a spacing which is slightly greater than the thickness of the cutting disc, the spacing between cutting disc and abutment being slightly smaller than the thickness of the asbestos cement sheet. The cutting disc has a spiral-shaped contour with great external toothing, the abutments, in the form of driveless counter-rollers, are fastened to a holder pivotably horizontally in the cutting direction and arranged vertically swinging. <IMAGE>
