A weather-proof table tennis table is described which is made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic and consists of only two layers or panels to reduce the manufacturing expenditure. The lower layer is profiled with curves and the two layers are connected to one another only at the upward curves. A very simple method and a particularly simple device are proposed for manufacturing the profiled lower panel. Said device consists only of a perforated plate and a counter-plate with projections screwed on. During moulding, a fibre mat soaked in synthetic resin is firstly placed between elastic films and then between the plates of the mould. The method can be carried out continuously. <IMAGE>
