摘要 The alignment of the axes of a coolant feed duct (3) extending eccentrically, axially parallel and in a straight line from below through an internal combustion engine piston (1), and of the injection bore (8) of a coolant injection nozzle (6) arranged below the piston (1) are to be capable of being controlled on pistons (1) installed in the internal combustion engine. A test device provided for this purpose consists of a test rod (14) which can be switched into an electrical controlling circuit (15) by means of an optical and/or acoustic control element (16, 17), can be plugged onto the coolant injection nozzle (6), and has at least one electrical contact shoulder (18) along which the coolant feed duct (3) can be guided during a control operation by moving the piston (1) over a full stroke. If, in this case, the contact shoulder (18) or the contact shoulders come into contact with the wall of the coolant feed duct (3), which signifies lack of alignment of its axis with that of the injection bore (8) of the coolant injection nozzle (6), the electrical circuit is closed, so that the control element (16, 17) is activated and indicates a wrong axial position. The alignment of the axes can then be rectified by realigning the coolant injection nozzle (6). <IMAGE>
