The exchangeable textile cover consists of a basic fabric (2) made of warp and weft threads and, attached thereto, pile threads (3) pointing outwards of about 1-2 cm in length, preferably made of cotton, it being possible for said basic fabric to be retained on the frame in any suitable manner. The textile cover extends beyond the base area of the frame by about 5 cm on all sides, the projecting edges (4, 5) being constructed in such a way that they automatically rise up on the skirting boards of the room to be cleaned. The pile threads (3) are arranged very closely adjacently and can also be retained on the basic fabric additionally or individually by bonding or a thermal joining process. <IMAGE>
