The invention relates to obtaining energy made available by the effect of the sun. In this connection, at least one roof surface (8) - or another surface - of a house is to be covered with a transparent material (1), such as e.g. glass; in the region irradiated by the sun, a wall (2, 2a) is arranged at as small a distance as possible, and in particular preferably made of a material with a high heat retention capacity. The wall (2, 2a) absorbs the incident solar rays and transfers them in the form of heating heat, via a liquid or gaseous medium, e.g. to radiators. In other words, the wall (2, 2a) heats a heat transfer medium which ensures the further transport of the stored heat, e.g. into living rooms. <IMAGE>
