摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To improve the fitting property and wear resistance of the title sliding material by adding a hard substance to a metal mother material and projecting a hard material from the surface of the mother material and further coating the surface with a plating layer of Pb or a Pb alloy having a thickness larger than the projection of the hard material. CONSTITUTION:Silicon is added as a hard substance 2 to a ground material 1 using an aluminum alloy as a mother material, and the surface of the ground material is subjected to etching, a part of the hard substance 2 being projected from the surface and a plating layer 3 of a Pb alloy excellent in the fitting property. The depth of the etching is substantially equal to half the diameter of particles of the hard substance 2, and is desirable to be about 1-50mum. Further, the diameter of particles of the hard substance 2 is preferably in a range of 2-200mum, particularly preferably in a range of 20-100mum. As a platting layer 3, is used, in addition to Pb, a Pb alloy consisting, for example, of one kind or more selected from a group consisting of 12% or less by weigt Sn, 1% or less by weight Sb, 10% or less by weight In, 3% or less by weight Cu, and the residual part of Pb.</p>
