<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate missing of signals completely, by detecting that the residual amount of a tape is within a prescribed value, detecting non-signal section also and inverting the tape at both detection. CONSTITUTION:A head switching circuit 15 connects the 1st and 2nd heads to a recording circuit 31 at the forward and connects the 3rd and 4th heads to a recording circuit 16 and the circuit 31. The recording circuit 16 is a recording equalizer amplifier circuit which amplifies and frequency-compensates a recording signal applied from an input terminal 17 so as to be suited to the magnetic recording and the reproducing circuit 31 transmits a reproducing output including a reproducing equalizer amplifier circuit to an output terminal 32. Since a head 14 is a head in common use of recording and reproducing head, the recording circuit 16 and the reproducing circuit 31 are selectively connected to the head 14 with a changeover switch 33.</p> |
