PURPOSE:To eliminate a variability in the returning amount of the piston and prevent the biased abrasion of a pad by a method wherein the returning amount of the piston at an intermediate part is made bigger than the same of the piston at the utmost side end, in the multipiston type disc brake. CONSTITUTION:The multipiston, operating the friction pad 1, consists of the pistons 3-A, 3-A',... at the intermediate part of the pad and the pistons 3-B, 3-C at the utmost side ends thereof. The returning amounts of the pistons 3-A, 3-A',... are made bigger than the pistons 3-B, 3-C at the utmost side ends. According to this method, the friction pad 1 is supported at both of the ends thereof by the pistons 3-B, 3-C at the utmost side ends, therefore, the inclination of the pad 1 becomes smallest and the pad 1 is brought into the best condition against the dragging or the biased abrasion. |
