In a heating regulator for electrical storage heaters, a device is provided which contains an external temperature sensor (1) and a timer (2) and by means of which the predicted heat consumption can be determined, from which the night-time heating of the associated storage heater can be defined. The device has a supplementary circuit by means of which the subsequent night-time heating can be prevented if a limiting value of the outside temperature occurring during the daytime is exceeded. <IMAGE>
