The present invention relates to the use of novel and known dihydropyridines in medicaments having a positive inotropic effect, which dihydropyridines are of the general formula I in which n, R<1>, R<2>, R<3>, R<4>, R<5>, R<6> and R<7> have the meaning given in the description, to novel compounds of this class of substances, to medicaments containing them, and to their preparation.
