Seed drill, in which the working width is a multiple of the track gauge of the tractor pulling the drill, having a supply container, from which the seed to be discharged is fed in adjustable quantities, via metering members driven by means of a control gear, to the seed coulters arranged on at least one coulter-holding rail and movable in the vertical plane, and having a frame, on which are arranged running wheels, via which the drill is supported on the ground during operation. In order by simple constructive means to provide an advantageous design for seed drills of large working width, the supply container (1) extends over more than 3/4 of the working width (A) of the seed drill, and the drive of the metering members is divided and takes place via at least two control gears (6, 6'). In a preferred embodiment, the seed drill is equipped with a transport device which has running wheels and in which a traction device which can be brought at least into two positions or is removable is arranged in the region of the outside of the machine at the front, as seen in the transport position, the running wheels (22) of the transport device (18) being arranged vertically adjustably on the plane (2) of the seed drill, and the running wheels (22) being capable of being brought into at least two positions (22, 22', 22''), of which one is provided for the transport position (22) and the other for the operating position (22') of the drill. <IMAGE>
