A refractory fibre block insulation material has an electric heating element supported on the block by a holder which includes an arcuate spearing member (curved hook or coiled screw) which is inserted into the block for attaching the holder and heating element at any desired location on the block. Used in modular fibre blanket insulation for electric furnaces or fuel fired furnaces. Improved insulation; easy attachment of heating elements to module without any additional support other than the spearing hook.
