A device for the manufacture of parts made of a full-hardening material, with regions of different hardness, i.e., in one direction, one hardened and one unhardened end separated by a transition region, by partially dipping them into a hardening bath, providing an at least partially flat baseplate with openings for inserting the parts, characterized in that the at least partially flat baseplate (4) is formed as a heat-shield floatable on the surface (8) of the hardening bath (2), and the parts (6) may be inserted into the openings (5) of the baseplate (4) in such a way as to protect that end (12, 13) of each part (6) which is not to be hardened from the hardening bath (2). |
