In a bulk container for fine-grained and powdery materials, the bottom surface is made funnel-shaped towards the outflow orifice by means of slightly inclined bottom sections. The bottom surface is formed, at the same time, by individual ventilation chambers equipped towards the interior of the container with a gas-permeable cover. The ventilation chambers are supplied with compressed gas by way of connecting lines for the discharge of the stored material and thereby loosen the material from the composite bulk structure, so that emptying takes place through the outflow orifice by way of the inclined bottom sections.
