The invention relates to an infinitely variable intermittent-motion control mechanism in which an input rotary motion is converted into variable oscillations by mechanical means and the latter converted into an output rotary motion by means of one-way clutches. Whereas, in the case of known control mechanisms of this kind, each of the phase-offset converters produces a uniform output rotary motion for only about a third of an input rotary motion, the uniformity of the output rotary motion for the load travel in this control mechanism can extend to about five sixths of an input rotary motion, as a result of which more power can be transmitted. According to drawing 1 - Figure 1 - the disc (2) has, for this purpose, a groove (3) by which a uniform angular velocity of the swivelling movement of the levers (9 and 10) occurring during the load travel is produced with five sixths of its circumference and by means of the remaining sixth of the circumference of which the said levers are, for the idle travel, swivelled back into the starting position. <IMAGE>
