Stoppers for sealing blood-sampling tubes as are used in the laboratory have a peripheral bead which is integrally formed on the inside of the stopper lid (1) and which is located at a distance from the stopper sheath (5) engaging over the container or the tube. In order to avoid the risk of infection and for the metered removal of liquids, an annular attachment (6) is fitted to the outside of the stopper lid and is provided with a peripheral undercut (7) lying parallel to the lid. A closure disc (8) is placed in the annular attachment (6) and has projections (23) engaging in the undercuts. This closure disc can be rotated relative to the stopper, one or more openings (18, 19) being arranged in the stopper lid and in the closure disc in each case at the same distance from the centre of rotation of the disc. <IMAGE>
