Baking oven insulations are known, which consist of a shaped body which surrounds the baking oven muffle and on the inside has grooves for receiving a heating element. For reasons of electrical insulation, use must be made of e.g. a bead-insulated heating element, which increases the production costs and nevertheless does not ensure optimum electrical insulation. For this, additional insulating measures would still be necessary. According to the invention, these problems are overcome by the heating element being embedded in the material of the shaped body and leaving a layer of material between the element and the sealed surface of the shaped body. <IMAGE>
