A fastening structure and an accelerator pedal device using said fastening structure, wherein a screw (13) is inserted into a threaded insertion hole (41) of a cover (12) from the side of the cover (12) opposite a housing (11), and is threaded into a threading hole (43) of a fastening part (42) of the housing. An annular space (45) is formed between the fastening part and an edge part (44) of the threaded insertion hole. Even if an edge part (47) of the threading hole of the fastening part is pushed up against the cover by a screw thread (23) of the screw when the screw is threaded in, the edge part (47) can bend so as to slip into the annular space. Therefore, great tensile stress in the roots (49) of the thread grooves (48) in proximity to the edge part of the threading hole can be avoided. Consequently, damage such as declining of the edge part of the threading hole can be suppressed in a fastening structure comprising a cover, a housing, and a screw. |
