This invention relates to a taking lens system which is small because pixel sizes are small, but has high resolution and thus can implement a high-resolution camera. The taking lens of the present invention comprises in order from an object side: an aperture; a first lens which has positive refractive power and has a convex shape on the object side; a second lens which has negative refractive power and has a concave shape on the upper side; a third lens which has positive refractive power; and a fourth lens which has negative refractive power, has a convex shape on the object side, and has a concave shape on the upper side. In this case, the object side of the third lens has a concave spherical surface. The Abbe number of the first lens is between 40 and 50. In the present invention, the angle of view may be at least 78°, and the F number may be at most 2.4.
