According to the invention, the rapid curing of liquid plastics is carried out by irradiating UV-curing polymer resins of a known type by means of two different UV tubes, of which one produces one type of UV rays of 295-580 nm and has its greatest effectiveness at about 360 nm, while tubes of the second type are low-pressure mercury tubes, produce rays of about 256-600 nm and have a greatest effectiveness at about 254 nm.
