An air-humidifer according to the evaporation principle has a housing with at least one water tank, a removable hood with air-inlet and air-outlet openings and possibly an intermediate plate as well as, arranged on one of the housing parts, functional parts, e.g. an electric motor with a fan in the hood and possibly a submerged pump in the tank, an evaporation filter which distributes the water and is exposed to the air flow, a level indicator and electric connections for the electric motor, the air-humidifier being designed as a wall-mounted device for operation in cooling rooms, warehouses or the like, and being provided with an electrical input on its rear wall and with a fastening device on the water tank and with a humidity regulator controlling the electric motor and with the level indicator on its front wall.
