On a shaft (32), supporting bodies (44) are attached which are constructed as semicircular discs, arranged in one radial plane each and offset with respect to one another by 180 DEG in each case. Bearing bolts (48) extend through the supporting bodies (44) parallel to the shaft (12). Hammers (50) are mounted on the bearing bolts (48) between the supporting bodies (44). Two groups of hammers (50) can be locked in a working position by means of in each case one locking bolt (56), in which position they protrude radially outwards over the supporting bodies (44). The locking bolts (56) extend through holes (52) in the supporting bodies (44) and hammers (50). The rotor acts in the locked state of the hammers (50) as a shear tooth rotor; on the other hand, if the hammers (50) are not locked and thus can be pivoted about the associated bearing bolt (48) then the rotor acts as a beating rotor. <IMAGE>
