Arrangement for tuning a single sideband receiver

For fast and accurate tuning of a single sideband receiver to a speech-modulated transmission, the respective speech frequency spectrum is determined repeatedly in succession by means of a fast Fourier transformation from the time function of the demodulated sideband signal, this spectrum is then checked for the presence of a plurality of amplitude maxima with the same frequency interval within a narrow tolerance range and frequency grids underlying these spectra are then determined therefrom, whereupon the frequency value which is common to most of these frequency grids is identified and the receiver tuning is then modified by this frequency value identified in this way. <IMAGE>
