<p>The oven is constructed from basic refractory sections assembled and held together by tie rods (9 and 10). The oven (1) is situated above the combustion chamber (2) and separated by a structural slab (6) on which rests the hot-plate (5). Deflector plates (13 and 14) around the combustion chamber form gas passages between themselves and the refractory casing (7). Heating of the oven takes place rapidly, directly by convection, indirectly by conduction through the hot plate (5) and by radiation from the vault (8).</p> |
