The device for the areal application of thin liquid products using an applicator to be brought into contact with the surface to be treated, is to be improved without using a complex valve system in such a way that undesirable product escape is avoided. The device according to the invention consists of an elongate bush (1) with a cartridge (9) inserted therein and a bottom lid (10) placed on the bottom (2) of the bush with an inwardly directed bottom cone (11) which, when placed on the bush (1), penetrates the cartridge (9) and thereby advances an applicator head (14).
