The present invention provides a framework consisting of long cylindrical distendable members 1 which are combined with each other by means of particularly simple flexible assembly elements consisting, for example, of a fabric cylinder. The longitudinal members are blocked in the assembly elements following their distension. A bag may be hooked onto the inside of a framework constituted according to the present invention in order to constitute a shelter which can be particularly quickly mounted and dismantled and which can have any desired configuration. <IMAGE>
