The invention relates to a device for analysing the energy of a gamma radiation by means of a multiplicity of storage channels in which gamma ray pulses are sorted in dependence on their energy and stored as in a pulse amplitude analyser. In this arrangement, the output signals of a sorting circuit are connected to light-emitting diodes. A first light-emitting diode (3) in each case is arranged in one of a multiplicity of grooves (2) milled in a block (1). Each groove (2) is allocated to a discrete energy of the gamma radiation. The mutually parallel grooves are covered by instant photography paper (6) on which the light emitted by the light-emitting diodes (3) during the measuring time draws light bars, the length and brightness of which are in a fixed relationship to the duration and the intensity of the pulse occurring in an energy channel. Connecting loci of equal grey values on the developed photo indicates the curve of a spectrogram which is identical with that taken by a pulse amplitude analayser with the same number of channels. The arrangement according to the invention provides the possibility of identifying gamma radiation and documenting it which is sufficient for many cases, with relatively low expenditure. <IMAGE>
