An interruption in the energy supply of a plant actuated by pressure medium is to be recognised with the arrangement according to the invention, before a critical or dangerous state is reached. For this purpose, the operating states of the device for replenishing the pressure reservoir of the energy supply are determined, and at least one time threshold (e.g. t3) is given in advance at which the replenishing device must have reached a given operating state after being switched on, when the energy supply is functioning normally. If the said operating state is not reached on reaching this time threshold, an alarm signal is generated. In particular, an alarm signal is generated when the replenishing device remains switched on for longer than is required, with a normally functioning energy supply, in order to replenish the pressure reservoir from the pressure value for switching on to the pressure value. <IMAGE>
