The infinitely variable fuel/grate spacing controller brings about in combination the raising and lowering of the fuel plate by means of a scissor-type jack which ensures in a precise, convenient and safe manner that the products to be grilled are provided with heat in an adequate manner. The infinitely variable fuel/grate spacing controller thus allows optimum utilisation of the energy and technically controlled influence on the grilling operation whilst at the same time reducing the risk of charring and pollution.
