To provide simple and rapid installation and easy removal of battery from vehicle the negative pole (4) is located in a position such that it is electrically connected to the support structure (2) when the battery is mounted on the vehicle. More specif., the negative pole (4) of the battery is located in a region of the battery that stands in electrical contact with the support structure (2) when the battery is installed in the vehicle. The fixtures provided for anchoring the battery on the support structure (2) are electrically conductive and are in contact with the support structure (2).
