The invention relates to a device for positioning and removing protective nets, of the type comprising a frame with means for fastening to a support vehicle, a storage means for a length of net, which means is carried by the said frame with means for extracting the net from the storage means during the operation of putting a net in place, and for replacing it into the storage means during the operation of removing the net. The device according to the invention comprises a bracket 5-10 which can be oriented substantially laterally relative to the axis along which the vehicle moves, which bracket has a reach greater than half the width of the vegetation 12 to be protected and is situated at a level of at least equal to the top of the said vegetation, this bracket carrying at least at its end 11 guide means 13-14 for the net 15. The invention is applicable for the positioning of nets over rows of trees. <IMAGE>
