In order to improve regulation of d.c. voltage regulator for flywheel type a.c. generator an electronic module is connected between the supply and illumination windings (2,8) and the battery (18) to be charged; regulation is enhanced by replacing a resistor by the transistor (15). The input (13) of the voltage regulator (12') is connected via rectifier diodes (11,12) to the windings (2,8) of the flywheel generator. The rectified voltage is specif. applied to the thyristor (17) gate via resistors (14,23,24) transistor (15) and diode (16).
