The invention relates to a lathe chuck with an adjusting device for adjustable, detachable jaws which are each formed from a base jaw part, a chucking part and an adjusting spindle, in which arrangement the adjusting spindle, subdivided by means of a fixing ring groove, is rotatably mounted in a semicircular receptacle with a fixing extension of the base jaw part or of the chucking part, is held in such a way that it cannot be displaced axially, and is in engagement with a semicircular threaded receptacle of the chucking part or the base jaw part, which threaded receptacle supplements the receptacle for the adjusting spindle, the base jaw part and the associated chucking part in each case being guided in a jaw receptacle by means of slot-and-key connections and the base jaw part being adjustable by means of the adjusting device. In order to connect the jaw to form a unit which also retains the settings between base jaw part and chucking part outside the jaw receptacle, additional slot-and-key connections which are orientated in the longitudinal direction of the adjusting spindle are provided between base jaw part and chucking part.
