Hot air blown against the moving textile web is drawn through an outlet opening in a partition across the drying chamber, to pass through a filter adjacent to the opening before returning to the fan for recirculation. The dust laden air also passes through an additional cleanining band or bands above and below the filter. Each band travels around rollers so that it can be moved continuously in one direction, then later reversed. Part of the collected dust and fibres can be removed by jets adjacent to the band. In another design, the band is endless, and is guided partly inside the chamber by upper rollers and outside the chamber by lower rollers. A cleaning brush can be mounted under the belt on the outside, with a collector vessel, and jets can be adjacent to the inside part of the belt.
