This is an anti-theft security device for bicycles. Said device is formed by an electrical warning system which is to be permanently connected to the bicycle and has a signalling device (13), a manually activatable switch (21) and, arranged electrically in series with the latter, an automatic switch (23) whose switching state is dependent on the position of the bicycle in such a way that the automatic switch (23) is switched on in the vertical position of the bicycle and switched off in the oblique position of the bicycle. <IMAGE>
