A connecting collar for plastic-insulated, screened high-current cables consists of an elastic insulating body (1) and a metal housing (2) which can both be displaced with respect to one another in the axial direction. The insulating body rests on the inner wall of the metal housing in a sealing manner at its ends (11) and in the region (10) of the centrally embedded contact bush (9). <IMAGE>
