Process and device for the centrifugal casting of annular castings

In the process, the melt is introduced by the overflow principle into a plurality of casting chambers of a rotating casting mould with an axis of rotation lying within the casting mould, the said moulding chambers being arranged in a row in the direction of the axis of rotation. The excess melt is drained off as return scrap into an overflow space which revolves with the casting mould. In the process, a plurality of castings are produced simultaneously in a simple manner in one casting and centrifuging operation. The casting mould comprises mould parts which are divided transversely to the axis of rotation and are arranged in a stack or can be divided parallel to the axis of rotation.
