Suspendible on a transport vehicle (37) is a fodder container (1) having a funnel part (3), the lower outlet orifice of which is limited by an annular housing (8) surrounding a knife unit (9) having a knife disc (14) and a centrifugal disc (15) mounted under it on a vertical shaft (13) carrying a conveyor worm (18) for fodder lumps, such as beet, potatoes and the like. Radially extending knives with passage slits are provided on the knife disc (14). Between the outer edge of the knife disc (14) and the annular housing (8) is an annular gap (51) of gap width s which can be reduced to s1 by means of a liner ring (52). The passage slits can open into the annular gap (51). Together with the fodder lumps, finely divided fodder concentrate, such as maize, rape, bran, or stalk material, such as straw, can thus be added in any mixture ratio, without the possibility that the passage slits will become clogged. The fine material passes via the knife disc (14), annular gap (51) and centrifugal disc (15) into the ejector tube (28) and from this, together with the lump chips, outwards into the trough (39) transversely relative to the direction of travel.
